Bio
I currently live in Fort Worth, TX, where I divide my time between the University of North Texas and Good Shepherd Episcopal School in Dallas. My wife Gina is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Texas Christian University. Our boys, Samuel and Nathaniel, have just entered the world of schooling at Pebbles Preschool. They are two-year old twins, which has presented a lot of exiting experiences, a little frustration at times, and a whole lot of joy.
We most recently lived in Springfield, IL, where I was an Assistant Professor of Education at the University of Illinois Springfield. Before that we lived in Charlottesville, VA, where Gina and I were working on our doctorates at the University of Virginia. I am originally from Casper, WY, and have lived in Ohio, Arkansas, Utah, Texas and Colorado. Gina is from Dallas, TX. and she has also lived in Oklahoma, North Carolina and Wyoming.
The most important things to me are my faith, my wife and family and my calling as an educator. Leaving the K-12 classroom for a career in higher education has not been a departure from teaching for me. I see it as a different way to influence the lives of students by preparing the teachers who will work with them.
